Hi, I'm Denyse Saunders,

I was the proud owner of Spotlight Model Agency, where I trained and mentored thousands of students. At its peak, Spotlight was the largest agency in Australasia, representing over 4,000 models, actors, and talent.

Many of our models worked internationally, and I was privileged to have trained two winners in Miss World as well as winners of prestigious global modeling competitions and contracts.

My career gave me the opportunity to travel the world, bringing back fresh ideas and creating opportunities for New Zealand talent. I worked closely with international film and advertising crews, many of whom I brought to Canterbury, showcasing our region’s beauty and giving my models and actors amazing international recognition.

I also owned and managed Canterbury and Auckland Fashion Weeks, was the long-standing Fashion Manager for NZ Cup Week at Addington, and directed major fashion events at the Queenstown Winter Festival for 20 years. I also proudly managed pageants such as Miss Canterbury, Miss Marlborough, and Miss Queenstown.

What gave me the greatest joy was watching young women and men blossom into confident, successful adults. Many of my students and models remain in touch today, which is something I truly treasure.

I also shared my knowledge through sold-out seminars across Australasia and internationally, and authored three best-selling books on how to look younger  without surgery. (And despite rumors, I’ve never had a facelift — I simply practice what I preach!)

Now happily retired, I treasure time with my grandchildren, family, and close friends. I also run a small online business Spotlight on YOU! Featuring natural healthcare and fat-loss extracts, which keeps my brain active and allows me to continue helping people feel and look their best. I loved every moment of my career and cherish the wonderful memories and friendships I made along the way.
